Prof. Angel Virgilio Domínguez-May
He is a Biochemical Engineer. He has completed Master of Science in Plant Biotechnology, Ph.D. in Biological Sciences: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He is a Member of the National System of Researchers (SNII), Level I. He serves as Full-Time Professor in the Biochemical Engineering program at the Instituto Tecnológico Superior del Sur del Estado de Yucatán. His research lines include: 1. Conservation and Sustainable Management of Plants, Animals and Microorganisms, and 2. Development and Innovation of Functional Ingredients and Foods. He is the assessor for social service, professional residency, master's, and doctoral students. He has served as an invited reviewer for national and international journals. He is an evaluator for Expociencias Yucatán. He has directed basic and applied research projects on functional foods, biopesticides, and plant micropropagation. He is an expert in biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, mineral nutrition, plant physiology, secondary metabolites and plant tissue culture.
