Dr. Sulaiman Shams
Dr. Sulaiman Shams working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Pakistan since August 2012. He worked as Postdoctoral Researcher at Adult Stem Cells Research Center, Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea (Top 31 QS world wise University Ranking 2015), in a Project "Reprogramming of induce Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPS) & Human Fibroblasts into Hepatocytes by Define Factors". Previously he has completed his Doctorate in Molecular Biology (with specialization in Stem Cells Regenerative Medicine) from National Center of excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB) in 2012. He earned a BS (Hons) degree in Biotechnology from the University of Peshawar in 2006. He established Stem Cells Regenerative Medicine Lab in AWKUM. He is the author of several papers and abstracts and reviewer of international reputed journals. Dr. Sulaiman is the PI of a (0.5 Million PKR) project awarded by DoST, Co-PI of 3 others projects (13 Million PKR) awarded by HEC Pakistan. Research Interest Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, Regenerative medicine, , Liver fibrosis and stem cell transplantation, tissue engineering, in vitro and vivo disease models.
